Upon completing the program, you receive an official certificate of completion in Manual Lymphatic Drainage for Cosmetic Surgery Recovery. This is an NCBTMB-approved continuing education certificate program, which means it is nationally recognized and backed by a credentialing board. You are absolutely able to describe yourself as "trained and certified in Post-Op MLD through an NCBTMB-approved program" and use the MLD-C designation after your name in your marketing, website, and professional bio.

Note: Per CE Broker and NCBTMB compliance standards, professional license initials (e.g., LMT, LE) cannot be printed on the CE certificate itself — but you are encouraged to use them everywhere else.

This is a live, interactive virtual training held via Zoom over 3 days. It is not pre-recorded — you will learn directly from Ayana in real time, with live demonstrations, Q&A, and hands-on practice guided by the instructor. A downloadable course workbook and treatment protocols are included. Due to HIPPA compliance, NBCTMB and our policies, recordings, replies,  are not permitted or allowed. 

In person trainings can be arranged, please send a form submission. 

A model is not required but is highly encouraged, especially for Days 2 and 3 when hands-on technique demonstrations are covered. Having a model (a friend, family member, or willing client) allows Ayana to give you real-time feedback as you practice the techniques — so you leave confident, not just informed.

This course is approved through both the Florida Board of Massage Therapy (via CE Broker) and the NCBTMB (Provider #1001278). Most states accept NCBTMB-approved credits, but it is your responsibility to verify with your individual state board before enrolling. International students and RNs are welcome — you will still receive your certificate of completion, though CE credit reporting may differ based on your licensing body.

Yes — full attendance across all 3 days is required to receive your CE hours and certificate of completion, per NCBTMB standards. There is a 10-minute grace period at the start of each session, but missing significant portions of any training day may affect your eligibility and you will not receive a certificate. No replays are provided. All sessions must be attended live; they cannot be made up after the fact. It will be your responsibility to translate the time zone. Everything listed here is in Eastern Standard Time. 

The course is designed for beginners to lymphatic drainage techniques. We will cover the anatomy, physiology, best practices. Having a background in lymphatic drainage methods will be helpful but is not required.
